What's funny is that he molted out and that one feather never fell out. He's got almost a full tail again now, but that one ratty feather is still proudly on top!

You know...I have to say that EEs are some of the most beautifully coloured birds. I've seen amazing combinations in them. Sometimes I wish I could figure out how to reliably get those particular patterns. You know?

Greetings y'all.... i have a question... HOPEFULLY SOMEONE CAN HELP! i have 2 RIR, 1 EE and a bantam Cochin chick. I got the bantam in November of 2012... so I'm not rushing her. I had 1 RIR that was producing until November. Then she stopped completely. The other 3 have not started yet... the young RIR and the EE should be 1 in May... when should i expect them to start laying? Did anyone Else's chicks stop laying in the winter?
