This isn't a bad site.

Page 3 is the one with the braining instructions....I love his quote here:
That is awesome thank you! I have been following the thread and wondering how that was done. I just bookmarked the page til I can print it and put it in with my other handy info. I can't wait to try this method next time I go hunting.

My pleasure.

....I'm about to fall asleep in this training. I may bail and go to the rooms next door where a hacke....errrr...computer security conference is happening.

Okay after hunting all day around Glen Rose yesterday, I cam into work today with my husband. I wandered around Cleburne and found a lovely little feed store called Johnson County Feed. It's right there on Caddo, almost in the middle of downtown. I bought a 50lb bag of starter feed for 19.00 (there was some change but I don't remember) a HUGE trash bag full of hay for 2.00 and 3 adorable chicks for 2.75 each. I also bought seeds, carrots, spinach, watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumber, and romaine lettuce for 1.50 a pack. A lot of seeds in each one. I think I will be returning to this feed store. They had shelves of just about anything I could ever need. Will be going there to get the chicken wormer I need for the next round. A lot cheaper than the last place.

Anyways, I showed up to my husbands job (which I usually don't do, very unprofessional) and showed him the three chicks. He was so happy! I loved the change in expression. All morning he was moping over the loss of the little turken but these guys turned him right around. Here are the pics of three I found, do you think any of you could tell me what they are? (from Ideal I think)

They are all 1 day olds. He was unloading the box when I got there. BTW, why are they pooing almost a neon green poop? Could that be from gro gel?

Edited to add (the top pics of actually of two different chicks that look almost identical except that one is a little bit of a lighter chocolate color)

the bottom one looks like my EE's! if its legs are a slate-sih color thats what that will be...green/blue eggs if its a hen. Hard to see on the top 2...kinda dark. are they brown or black? or maybe a dark red?

Neat, possibly three little ee's. The top two have darker legs. The stripey one has yellow legs. The top two are a dark brown chocolate color. With reddish brown beaks and darker legs. Sort of a dark brown leg.
