Texas

Well, we had a cold front today and it was wonderful! It was about 60° and I got to wear a sweater!

I also found out that no one bought my eggs. :(
Apparently, everyone was looking, but no one wanted to buy. One lady offered $5 for an $8 egg, but for two hours of work, it wasn't happening. Diego (the man who was selling them for me), really liked the eggs and thought the price was generous, so he bought two. :D When a guy makes lamps and birdhouses and other fixtures for a living, he knows something about quality and pricing. So I totally trust his judgment and thanked him for buying them.

And I now have $16 for some feed, hehe! It's been a good day. I may be putting up my eggies for sale here on BYC. We'll see. :)

I think they'll sell on here...don't give up they beautiful

Hey. Since most of y'all are around Houston, can you tell me if there are any Brazilian import stores in Houston?

I can look around... My step dad was a supplier for merchant ships and would take me all over to pick up supplies from all over Houston! I usta love China town! Before the soccer filed and minute maize park were there!

It's 48 degrees here this morning!

The 10 day forecast has rain starting on Saturday and then for several days in a row. I KNOW that forecast can change 20 times between now and Saturday, BUT we are going to get the rye grass sowed this week, just in case.

The trick is in sowing the grass seed but not feeding the birds!

where abouts is Elgin?
we're in Burleson, we've had to 2 nice big rain storms in the last week
put our rye in the same day as the first storm

We are south of Elgin about 12 miles. We an Elgin address but a Bastrop phone number...kinda no-mans-land.

If we had known we were going to get 1/2 inch of rain Saturday night we would have put it out that afternoon. We only have one old horse and he grazes the entire 6+ acres, so it's not essential but we try to give him something to munch on all winter besides feed.

Well, your eggs are beautiful, and I know you get satisfaction from painting them. Keep it up, they'll sell. Maybe at Christmas time as tree ornaments, or around Easter.

OMG mouth watering!  One of my all time fav foods!!!!

Thanks Jungle for the idea. I will stop by Pho 20 this Thanksgiving when my family will be in Galveston for my mom's 90th b-day.
In Houston, there are Pho Nguyen and Pho SaiGon, I always visit them for Pho.
While in Dallas, I try Bistro B for their variety of food.
In Austin, I like Pho Saigon for the Pho, and I visit Pho King for the Bun Bo Hue (my favorite). Rachael: Have you tried?

feel hungry already !
Oh I LOVE Pho SiaGon! After going to "Chinese" restaurants for all my life, I'm glad to have discovered some Vietnam ones. The food just seems so much more fresh and good.
