Nice! & welcome backMy husband is the one who really liked the NNs. A few of my pullets are red with pinkish necks, which looks really pretty. I wanted the Jerseys, and I love how huge they are! Not quite 5 months old and even the pullets are the same height as my Leghorn rooster. Cogburn is huge, much taller than Foghorn, and I have the feeling that once filled out he is going to be very heavy. I also adopted 4 EEs, a barred rock and a Buff Brahma from a family member. I am now planning on starting a flock of Brahmas and a flock of EEs. Here are the new girls. The eggs are decently dark - much darker than a typical "brown" egg, but not as dark as a marans - definitely a deep brown/ reddish "terra cotta" brown - really nice. Of course, one of mine is now laying lighter eggs, not sure why....maybe she needs more time after taking off some of the winter. I love Naked Necks - I wish my family did. They were not impressed with the photos I showed them. Your NN looks beautiful - the skin looks almost peach colored.![]()
