I know it isn't the gas cap. I'm having my son take the car in tomorrow.[/quote

Ms Jellybean have him take it to auto zone they will check it for free and tell you what it is before you take it to a shop. So many places will tell you something is wrong that is not cause they are looking at the money to make. Auto zone does not fix any cars so they will be more truthful about it. It could be almost anything from the gas cap, air filter, plugs or just about anythings else but it most always is nothing big.

I read here on the forum somewhere that the only eggs that peel well are old eggs.  As they age, air develops between the egg and the shell which allows for the easy peeling. So, I gave up on trying to perfect my method of boiling, lol.

If you peel them while they are still warm the shell will come right off!

Welcome to all the new folks!

For hard boiled eggs, I read and used the following method well.
1. When done rinse and chill immediately, using ice if possible. Get as cold as possible.
2. Tap the top (pointed end) and then the bottom and wait just a few seconds. This allows for separation.
Peel from the larger end.
Worked for me. I've also been told to use eggs over a week old, but I didn't have any and it still worked.

I love the pictures of babies, real babies and chicks.

I've tried warm, cold, warm while standing on one foot.... tried everything

It could just be me, lol

This is how my Mom does it and it usually works for me if I don't chill the eggs before I peel them. The shaking method works very well for cooking with children or if you need to peel a large quantity of eggs. Put the eggs in a container that has a lid. Fill the container with 1 inch of water. Seal the container tightly with the lid. Vigorously shake the container in all directions. Be thorough. When you open the container, the eggs will be peeled. Remove any leftover shell with running water.

He works at O'Reilly's and they do that there too. My car is only 3 years old and only has 21K mikes on it. It really shouldn't be anything too wrong. I hope!
