One of my barred rock hens died on me a few mins ago. She did not look well when I took her out of the box this morning after picking them up from the post office. I called ideal and they said to call them by Friday if I lose anymore. The rest seem to be eating and drinking ok.

Poor babes! Hope they do okay!! I just posted pictures of Mack in other pets. Going to do a progress report on him there so I dont flood this opage. ;)

I was a little emotional, this morning, after @Starfire669
drove away with her awesome new-to-her ducks (formerly mine :p )...but hearing about their good first impression with the rest of her menagerie, I'm even more excited than before by the idea of how good they are gonna have it at her place.  Lucky Ducks!

Thank you, Starfire, for taking my muddy hole-diggers & giving them a place in your home.  :thumbsup

No problem, we are very happy to have them. They are doing great so far. Howard even tried to mate 1 of the girls, but he fell off and she got fed up with his fumbling, lol! They have been renamed, we have Howard the duck, Daisy duck (his favorite), Ebony (formerly Brownie), Ivory (the next biggest crested), and Loudmouth (the smallest crested). Loudmouth is so named because she has taken to screaming at the chickens, geese, and other ducks since she got here. What's even funnier is my husband and youngest son have taken to quacking back at her! Every time it happens I just bust up laughing at how silly they all sound quacking like a duck.

Sorry you lost one Harley. Hopefully the rest do ok and you don't have any more losses.

Man, I have missed so much today. I have been busier than a cat trying to bury a fart. Just got to sit down hare and find out that the world has been going on without me. My tailfeathers are sore from last night, but I am ready to help anyone out there if they need it!!!

Sorry to hear that Harley, Hope all the others do well.

Mine are spending 80% of their time in the coop and not foraging around the run. Weird right? They are 13 weeks

Why are they not foraging??? This is the best thing for them, even if it is only an hour a day!! They will love yoiu for it, and they will repay you with the best eggs you will ever see!!!

They have access, they are choosing not to.... They can come and go as they wish. They do go out off and on but for the last week or so they spend more time inside than out.
