My keyhole garden. Things are starting to grow. I hope I can keep plants growing.
Planning on getting a 3 week old cream legbar pullet. I just realized I have never raised a chick this young on my own. I have always have had a broodie hen raise them for me. How long before I can introduce her to my two hens?
I heard one of my baby roosters crow for the first time today!
Not whimpy baby crow. I am talking a healthy know what I'm doing crow! I got so excited!!

Let's do it!! I will be at Conroe Trade days on May 3 2015. Hopefully I will have a booth showing off my run panels. I was going to build a coop/run to show off, but doesn't look like I am going to have the time. Right now I am building a coop/run, rabbit hutch/run with extended run, an extension to a run I built about 3 months ago, and a run to go inside a barn/chicken house. I have been blessed and am thankful for it. Cannot wait to meet you!!
Sounds good to me. I can't seem to find any information on it. Where is it going to be held?
Hi, I live near the sugarland area. I am looking for contacts to purchase approx 8 laying hens. I did see the info on the Conroe trade days, however I believe that is the weekend I won't be in town. I have searched the Internet for places within driving distance to purchase hens that are laying, and I have come across a few, however many want upwards of $40.00 per hen.
Also the ones I find on Craigslist are mainly roosters.
My question is, do you have laying hens for sale and if not, do you have a contact you could give me?
I am going to be looking for the hens early June.
Thanks in advance.
