Mottled means they are going to get white flecks and look like the Chocolate Orpington version of a Jubalee Orpington.

Can you hear them peeping?  Hearing peeps is a sure sign they have internally pipped.  They can make a clicking noise that sounds like tapping but it's actually them breathing with their head bent over. There's a thread here somewhere that explains it much better than I can.  It's like if you try to breathe with your mouth open and chin smashed against your chest.

As long as you seal the sides up, I would say yes for at least a few weeks.

I am new to this all.....I have 8 babies in three large boxes taped together! What do i know. lol

I am going to be moving them outside this weekend into their new house and run area!
I can't wait!

Im new too lol! I almost have the box finished. I made it so that they can see us from all angles and hopefully they wont be afraid of us!! Lol.

I just need to line the bottom with some cardboard and put the pine flakes in.

I'm still trying to figure out what I actually bought.

You might want to keep it close to the house, or on the porch, because you used chicken wire. I would make it like that, because it's easy, and keep it close to the house, because we have Coons.

Im actually going to have them in the house until they are old enough to be outside. We dont have coons here that i know of, but i have stray cats and i dont want them to get my babies lol.
