Thank you! They have started moving around and peeping. Waiting for them to dry so they can go in the brooder so I can clean out the incubator

Next year i will try my first hatch.
I know I am going to be a nervous wreck!

I think it was on this thread where I asked about how folks managed fly control. I did end up getting some of the super sticky FlySticks. Thought I'd report back - they work well. However, you know how they have this warning that they are so sticky that they can catch small birds, etc.?

Well, yeah...

o my gosh!

Thank you so much! Both of you!! One has finally decided to try and move around the incubator, while the other is still somewhat attached to its shell. Im waiting for them to dry and I've just been talking to them. The one attached to its egg, i think it may think its still in it. It kicks its legs and peeps like crazy now.

tell him kiki loves him already! it will make him feel better!!!

Oh wow! I need to get some of those stinky traps going. We have a huge fly problem right now.
Thank you. To the 3 of you.

These 2, my brother in law came over and helped them hatch... now its just a waiting game I guess.... they peep and move their legs, but other than that, they dont move much. Ill be staying up late tonight to see if they survive.
cute! Good luck with the 2 little ones too.

Been there. The guineas just destroyed one the same day I put it in their coop. Completely covered in guinea feathers and a couple guineas with missing feathers. The turkeys and chickens have been known to do the same. Waste of a good fly stick.

Yeah, I'm going to leave it up for a while longer, because the upper part is still pretty good. I have the replacement on hand. Hanging another one today in another location where some flies are starting to aggregate... I've only been hanging them outside coops at this point, for that reason (also, I'd likely get stuck to it myself when doing chores

Hehe! They were completely dried off by 11:30 last night so they went straight into the brooder.
