No hunting license is required in Texas to trap a coyote is what my research says. I'm pretty sure Vernon's states the same. Also it states dog's who harass livestock/fowl are coyote's. Texas law trumps other peoples sensibilities.I know. I picked up some coyote snares. Been reading the laws on trapping, using snares etc...
My bird died. Since, I took picture 45 min ago, just checked on her. She's dead.
Edit: I also picked up some peanut butter rat poison, for my rodent problem.
Thank you very much for the warning, I appreciate it. I've been mauled previously by a Chow dog, ended up with nerve and muscle damage in my leg, arm, breast and hand. Which then required multiple ling surgeries. I am lucky to be alive. I will NOT be mauled ever again, if I can help it. I then suffered PTSD for almost 2 years, I was even afraid of my own 2 dogs forseveral months until I sought counseling. I have the right to defend my life, using whatever force is necessary, and I will. So like Mama always said, if you cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. I can take it LOL, let them say what they want. I'm not skerrred. LOL If we cull mean aggressive man killing roosters, I feel the same about dogs. On command by owner is one thing, letting it roam our neighborhood of 5 acre lots is another.Be careful what you say
I posted on byc after my coop was damaged and birds killed. I got roasted pretty good about threatening to shoot a "poor mother dog-just trying to feed herself and leaving pups all alone".
So I am not opening that can of worms.
We are staying home, me, hubby and my Son that lives with us. Hubby is going to put our Turkey on the smoker, I'm making my cornbread stuffing & sweet potatoes, pumpkin & cherry pie, homemade loaf of sweet yeast bread and yup sweet tea!Whats for Thanksgiving?
Anyone traveling?
We are staying home.
Gonna have home grown roast chicken and dressing. Pecan pie and of course sweet tea
I sure am hoping she makes it, man that sucks that she got her so badly. It may just take a few days for her to heal up. I'm really not sure. I did have a chicken break a beak pretty badly awhile back and acted like she had a concussion for several days. She made it much to my surprise, but I did hand feed her cooked egg and her favorite treat strawberries. That took 30 minutes 4 times a day, holding her seemed to stop her trembling, I'm sure she was in pain and being comforted helped. My girls not doing real good this morning. She acts like she's in pain.
She ate a little, drank a little, walked about 50 feet fell off sidewalk into grass and just sat there. She tried to get up, ended up with left leg extended behind her and just sat there breathing hard and trembling.
I picked her up, she's in wagon in garage with food and water. Suggestions? I think she may just be sore, but not sure. No visible wounds other than a few marks below eats on both sides. She did get man handled pretty good by the dogs and was laying in a head when I got to her. Head turned backwards. I thought she was dead but saw her breathing, I cussed at she hopped right up and took a couple of steps.
