You’re correct. Last count I remember was 60+ free range birds. We never had vaccines or any major illnesses, just eggs everyday, chicken for dumplings and the occasional chicken/rat snake, skunk, opossum, coon and bobcat which our fox terrier usually took care of.

I have 3 barred rock mix 9 week old cockerels that I am looking to rehome soon. They came from barred rock roo but not sure what the hen was. I’m not sure where in tx you are or if you’re interested in mine but if you are I can give you more info!
