Got some work to do. My birds have found them a hide hole. Unfortunately, it is on neighbors property. He has chicken killing dogs.
I think- run chicken wire across fence, maybe 2 rolls high. I have some old wire here.
Cattle panel would be easier-no gotta.
I may have some welded wire at my shed in town.
Start with chicken wire and go from there. First, clip brush and trees then weedeat then wire.
AND, gotta watch for poison ivy-its there too!

Well. I’m feeling productive. Had a riding mower that needed gawd only knew what done to it when it was given to me….4 years ago. Had a leftover motor from a recycled riding mower just as long sitting under a galvanized tub all this time as well.
Lucky me the two B&S motors used the same carb! Drained the oil. Cleaned the carb, brushed the flywheel shiny clean, swapped needed stuff like coil etal. That motor fired up maybe 1/2 way through the 1st rotation!

get the desk cleaned and reassembled. Cut some scrap aluminum. Bent it. Trimmed it. Will assemble it tomorrow- IF the rain allows.
The 2 green riding mowers we have had for more that 5 years…. 16.5hp & 20HP 16.5 never ran last year. The 20HP had a electrical issue show up last month.

so I only had the push electric mower and the tractor with the flail.

Thursday, spent over 4 1/2 hrs on the phone with Kobalt warranty…. The 1st 3hrs and almost 50 minutes was ALL on hold waiting “11th caller in the cue!”

well. Both weedwhackers are being replaced and the battery I called about is also being replaced.

so as of right now I have a battery push mower that’s got a freshly sharpened blade. Both the 16.5 & 20 have freshly sharpened blades, one has a new battery. And the 20 has a upgraded deflector.

the tan one should be ready to go tomorrow or Monday. Then I can sell 2 of the 3.

awaiting the stormy weather that’s forecast to be severe…. Gotta go out and too off the chickens water and food. And close the north facing window to keep the rain out.

Well crud! Imma gonna get wet too!
Was hoping to mow today, around and thru standing water.
I may still try it. As soon as it gets light enuff to see. No reason to wait for grass to dry-it doesn't. hi ho hi ho it's off to mow I go....

(Satisfied “sigh”) 3 fully operational riding mowers. Tested & all mow solidly. Need to tweak a bit here or there on each of them still but, Now to sell 2.

(groans) new neighbors - the retired folks - are having a “garage sale” this Friday and Saturday…. They went door to door on our cul -d-sac to talk to everyone about it… her logic, the more the merrier, right? Ye hah /note mild sarcasm. So now I’ve got a few days to see what I can whip Up for a reasonable effort at a yard sale next door…..

1st two batch’s of Hatchlings are ready to join the main flock…likely this evening. Alas the solo & 1 of the 3 black chickies are very likely cockerels…. So, yeah… that won’t go well.

Got another coon. Still dark out-waiting for sunrise to dispatch.
They LOVE deer corn.
