You can post here, and in the animals in need of rehoming, just attach a pic and let er rip. I haven't had any experience with cross beak chicks, even when I did order from hatcheries (now I just hatch my own) but I'm sure someone will, or you can start a thread and see what others have to say

I am also in Texas. About 45 minutes sw of Houston. In the past I have had most farm animals, I now have my ladies, aka chickens, and three babies, aka two dogs and one cat. We are retired now so keeping critters at a more manageable size.
