Glad you make it down this way. Austin is a cool city, but the traffic is worse than Dallas.

We have lived here about 10 years, and I didn't make to Schliterbaun until a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun...

Hi Fellow Texans!!!

I've lived in Bellville the last 3 years. I lived in Katy 16 years. Now my husband and I live on 64 acres. We're blessed with 3 horses, one mini donkey, 3 basset hounds, a ton of cats....and.....
3 rescue production reds(beaks have been cut) , 1 black australorp, 2 Jersey Giants, 2 RIR, 2 NH Reds, and 1 very happy Roo!

I lost 2 silkies and a an Austrolorp to a coon attack. I spent more $ than I like to think on saving a Jersey Giant who survived a wing amputation. I became a country girl fast!!

And the traffic isn't too bad... If you just don't try to go anywhere during rush hour, from 7-10am or from 4-7pm. That gives me 6 hours of daylight to get all my running around done!

Another Austinite here, as you might have guessed from the name.

Our first chickens (13 meat birds) are supposed to be arriving from Ideal in three weeks.
