Thanksgiving Day Hatch, anyone?

OMG! That's alot of birds in that picture!! I couldn't imagine...
Where's your brooder? Are you having to keep all those peepers in your house??

I had 8 RIRs and 2 Ameraucanas hatch in the first batch. Now I have 5 of my own banty partridge cochin eggs hatching. The first one just hatched. It was out in a flash! I didn't even know until I heard all the peeping!!

LOL SORRY COULDN'T HELP BUT LAUGH WHEN SAW ALL THOSE CHICKS AND YOU THINK YOUR HUSBAND WANTS TO MOVE OUT..WOW THAT IS A LOT AND NOT ALL OF THEM.

OK we are at 134 baby quail... and we are done!!!!

Do you put all the quail in freezer??Are they good..

You know, I've been thinking about getting some quail to raise for the freezer, but with 5 kids (3 being teenage boys) we could probably go thru your big 'ole hatch in just one meal. LOL!

LOL they are more filling than you would think...............

i will be selling mine again when they pick back up laying again....... i was getting about 50-60 eggs a day - this spring i will be selling jumbos....

What are the ones you hatched? Are they the regular pharoahs? I need to get some more. I only have a trio, which is ok, but I would like more. It would be hard to get eggs enough for anything with only 2 hens!
