Thanksgiving Day Hatch, anyone?

I have 10 new silkie chicks!
Not bad out of 12 eggs.

I had to help the last one out. He was so big that he couldn't get
turned around in the egg.

The other 2 eggs were dead in the egg. Must have happened sometime in
the last couple days. One had pipped through the membrane and then
died, the other was rather small.

I went home at lunch and looked in on the hatcher. I heard a very faint "chirping" coming from inside. Now, my eggs are not supposed to hatch until Friday. But now I'm wondering if they are gonna make an appearance tomorrow...I sure would hate to tell the kids we're not going to Granny & Pops for Thanksgiving dinner!! LOL!!

I have dorkings due tomorrow and silkies due Friday. Hehehehe...no I didn't plan that.....

My 1588 bator is empty.....I have a dozen or two in the mail I am waiting on......so hard to leave it empty....lol

Still nothing on the chicken eggs...I think they're goners.

First, I'm gonna keep them until I know what sex they are!

Then I am giving some to a good friend of mine, and I was thinking of giving some to my neice and nephews for Christmas! Or I could just keep them, but where would I put them all??

I have another one zipping!!

This is so much fun!!
