I missread when my eggs were shipping and they are actually not shipping until the 11th- is that way too late to participate? I have some I started already and I have been collecting my own from my chickens that I am starting when the hatch a long officially starts so I won't be completely out but i would love to have all the eggs participate.

My guess is that you won't be the only one behind a bit..but someone will come on and let you know for sure. Betcha can! )

yea that is exactly what I am making for my pens,its awesome clean water all the time. And then you can add your Probiotics or Acv and anything else you need too.

Yep and those big buckets hold lots of water. I'm trying to figure out a stand. I have pallet wood I can use, so I think just a simple stand with a lip at the bottom to help hold them up. Some will have room to hold 2, so I can set them between my little mini hoop coops to take up less space. Now to figure out my nesting boxes. They have them inside at the moment, but I want more space inside, so the PVC waterers, Gutter feeders and some new boxes and they'll be good. New roosts to make too. I want them to be out of the way and comfortable, plus they get time in the yard too. I'm making ACV tonight. I have some, but you can never have to much. I've used it myself for over 30 years, but haven't in a long time, cause I use it on all the animals. LOL Don't want them to go without.

So here are some more pics of the chicks that hatched today. Have two still in the hatcher with 6 or 7 eggs those maran eggs are soo hard to see thru though they could be early quitters for all I know.Will let these sit and fluff out then check for internal pips.

Well, the 4 day long journey from Ohio to Pa with the USPS has left my Cochin eggs in delightful shape. The Barnies only had a 3 day journey so aren't quite as bad. I swear I think they play kickball with these packages in the mail sorting room. I've had them sitting upright all day, and it looks like I'll be hatching in egg cartons, at least until lockdown or reattachment. I had to do this last month. Around day 5 everyone had reattached, so I laid them down and all but 1 hatched. I just wish this could have been a little easier. Oh well, at least none were broken, so maybe they weren't playing kickball after all, probably just badminton.

Well my eggs showed up so I guess my first ever attempt at hatching will be this hatch along.
