Beautiful coasters!I have free ranged my birds for the last 3 years during the warmer months. Had my first hawk attack last summer. All he got was a bunch of feathers. I attribute my bird's survival on plenty of hiding spaces throughout the property. Lots of shrubbery! Its the foxes that are my biggest problem every year. Think I'll go check out your thread Sally!
On a lighter note, here's another lovely gift from the hubby from his trip. Coasters!

They might learn to use the ramp, but you'd be better off finding something on the ground. They don't need roosts and you're better off not feeding or watering them in the coop, they'll make a mess. Try looking for a chain link dog kennel on CL, and cover the top and just stick a dog house in there for them to sleep in.http://www.greengardenchicken.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=20_27&product_id=118 how abou that one, for a temporary duck house to hold 3, we would let them free range.
