Received the March/April Annual Poultry issue of Hobby Farms magazine yesterday. I always enjoy the magazine but this one is special

Hurley did a great job on the article for the Iowa Blues! They used most of what she wrote, though the proposed Standard they listed has changed a little since then.
GO! Hurley!

You people are evil, evil I tell you!

A year ago I was waiting for my first 15 chicks to arrive. Now I have 20 chickens, only two of those original, have a couple dozen in the incubator, a bunch coming for this hatch a long, and am planning new coops.

Evil, evil I say.

Thanks! :)

RIP My blue girl! OMG Her bumblefoot came back and I didnt even know it!

Stupid WINTER GO AWAY! I have NO LUCK with this breed!! OMG!!!

I'm so sorry Sally. I have hit many brick walls with my Barnevelders. I have thought about giving up on them, but I just can't - I love them too much. But I certainly am frustrated.

Sure, you can still participate!
Okay ladies, you're both making me very nervous as I am setting both Cochins and Barnevelders for this Hatch-A-Long. Is there something I should know in particular about either breed?

Quote: I was given her with bumblefoot, we treated her and she got better and then had nasty butt, treated that, then bumblefoot again, treated that and back and forth. I should have been watching its all my fault for not watching better over winter, but I thought I read that the winter cold on foot will even cure it! guess thats wrong.
