Welcome!Very excited to be doing this! It will be our first try with the incubator. For sure we will have a dozen Welsummer eggs. Still don't know what else will go in the incubator, but hoping to finalize plans in the next few days.

What breed are they?Just got my eggs in the mail this morning!!! I am letting them rest until late tonight and setting with no auto turn until tomorrow. This will be my first time and I'm hoping for a 50% hatch rate but if even one makes it I will be happy.

I have two kids at home, youngest graduating next year. I am hoping to use empty nest syndrome to blame in another year or two. Good idea on the rescue. I will keep an eye out...off to search for rescue sites.Maybe you can find an older African Grey that out lived it's last owner... Sometimes bird rescues have them...
