Very excited to be doing this! It will be our first try with the incubator. For sure we will have a dozen Welsummer eggs. Still don't know what else will go in the incubator, but hoping to finalize plans in the next few days.
Just got my eggs in the mail this morning!!! I am letting them rest until late tonight and setting with no auto turn until tomorrow. This will be my first time and I'm hoping for a 50% hatch rate but if even one makes it I will be happy.
Thanks. But you should get some emus! They are super friendly, funny, protective of the other animals, and a pair amazinly only eat 3lb of food a day I was told! LOLOL

Incubation tools are always a great item too, example weigh scales, thermometers and so forth! Used items in GREAT shape may also be donated!

I have two kids at home, youngest graduating next year. I am hoping to use empty nest syndrome to blame in another year or two. Good idea on the rescue. I will keep an eye out...off to search for rescue sites.

Just an FYI, if you are still looking for hatching eggs, there are several for sale right now on this thread. I am a little worried my incubator is overstuffed or I would be jumping on them.
