.Im using my grandmas incubator circa mid-1950s.... i let it run for 5 days and adjusted the thermostat (holy confusing!!!) but it worked and according to my digital thermometer/hydrometer its hunky dory comfy cosey

I set eggs that are due to hatch April 5th (out of pure excitement... forgetting the March 29th set date). NOW... heres my question if i set another dozen (there's plenty of room) will it compromise anything? I currently have cheese cloth under the eggs that are set now for "easier clean up" which I suppose is my main concern. :-( help/opinions please

Will you be hatching in the same incubator? I've never done a staggered hatch in the same incubator. But you can set them all together in one, and hatch in another.

Just got two more boxes of eggs... this one appears to have taken a good hit ! hopefully the eggs are packed really well!

Well what do ya know would ya look at that!!

So it must have been a bad battery that it came with!! I feel so much better :)
Panic over.

OHHHHHHHH  Thank Goodness!!!  what a worry!!!

Candle upright gently and let me know how the little sprites fared please!!

Most look pretty good, a few are pretty jiggly but they are resting now hopefully all will reattach. I am so excited now! Thank you for the extras and the surprise eggs!! Once they hatch will you be able to tell me what they are?

only one cracked egg in the dented box. and he sent two extras so I'm going to call it a win.

I also got this pretty assortment of eggs

Still waiting on a package of 32 eggs -last time i checked the tracking number is was still in NC and it has to get to NH- so we will see when it gets here.

I set 6 Ancora duck eggs and one Mystery egg from my Mother's flock on Saturday the 22nd!! I candled them today and so far all 7 look good! :) I am a little worried about my saddle bags but I'm hoping for the best!

Happy Chooks, no secret admirer..just no name on it..I did have 3 boxes to come. Well, I also got another box today, had the name of the sender. That helped. :) All these eggs are from the east coast. Duh, I should have looked at the stamp, it showed where the box came from. When I saw it say MA..I knew who it was from. The other one came from VA..and had the name of the gal on it. That one got sent out on the truck.
I was confused with the first box we picked up..and I saw all of these eggs, a lot!..in the first box. I thought for sure it was from the gal that was sending just EE's. But they weren't just EE eggs..there is a beautiful assortment of colors..and a lot of them. The ones that should have come first, should only be blue eggs, and only 12. That's when my brain was going what? Who? Never imagined that Arielle's eggs would get here in two days! Usually they take three or even 4 days from that area. Oh well, two different orders I can set for the hatch a long. Beautiful eggs!

I think I'm going to join you guys! I wasn't going to because this time of year, my hatches are for elementary school kids, and where's the fun of a school hatch if it happens on a Saturday?!

However, I have a little silkie that's gone broody, so I think I'll give her 4-5 FBCM eggs Saturday.

Hi Spinx!

Who went broody? Don't you have a few silkies?
