I want in! Hoping to snag some Welsh Harlequin duck eggs but if that is a no go, I will peruse craigslist for some chook eggs :)

I am joining this Easter hatch-a-long also! I just bought Cowgirl's rare bird egg assortment to be shipped on the 15th...so I ought to have them by the 19th and ready to go in my bator. I don't have any of my girls acting broody yet, but maybe by then We're in NJ and have had deep snow, topped by thick ice since early February. I'm lucky my birds are laying eggs at all. It's been such a long winter, I'm excited by the thought of hatching cute little fuzzbutts again...Spring is hopefully not too far away!

ugh, I caught my own mistake on the dates...I PM'd her and asked her to not send eggs on the 15th, but on the 22nd or 25th if she has enough then (that date was already taken.) so hopefully I can still participate in this Hatch a Long....I don't want to have eggs from the 22nd arrive on the 24th or 25th, then hold them til the 29th...So I'll wait and see at this point.

Usually there are a few people for one reason or another that set a day or two before or after. I don't recommend after though. It is torture watching everyone else hatch and you are sitting in lockdown.

I love the Easter Hatch-a-long!!! I think I should be able to join, but I`m not completely sure yet.

We still have a long wait until set day let alone hatch day. Thought I would post a pic of this barnyard beauty that hatched this weekend lol

I usually only hatch a few barnyard mix a year for my layer flock but this year I have 3 incubators...so need to be careful and keep myself in check. lol. I find the mixes always have such interesting down colors. This one has a pale gray/blue with darker chipmunk stripes in the muted gray/blue. Then some yellow around the face.
