It is 48 now with 80 for this afternoon. That is summer for most but for us that is the week before Spring Starts!
I will be mowing the lawn and other house work today along with pen cleaning. I think I will introduce my Pita Pinta boy to the girls today too.
Not yet. We have one cockerel running around at the farm who is on the list. We just need to have a processing day to get rid of extra cockerels. I'm looking forward to trying the PPs!Yes! and I need to get my Freezer filled with some amazing Pita Pinta meat!
Have you processed any yet?
Cool cross!Thank you! My first successful hatcher everThe mom is a red sex link, RIR/Delaware, and the Dad is a Brown Leghorn.
I didn't even finish reading the rest of the thread because i saw Bielefelder lol- Here is my boy King- he is huge, the pictures don't do him justice. and he is maybe a year, i am pretty sure I got him in march last year. the hens aren't much bigger than normal hens but the roosters are definitely huge! and he is fairly docile too, he never starts fights (and I have 7 other roosters) and he even lets me pet him.I will be hatching Bielefelders and barthuhners. The wife agreed to let me get them because A they are fairly rare and B she thinks they look awesome... Such a relief. A little later I'll be getting sulmtalers... Can't wait the Bielefelder Roos can be 10+ lbs... Those will be some beefy birds!

I am sure you know what bielefelders look like but for anyone who doesn't know he is right in the middle of the photo.
