Hey I'm new this year but I will be participating in this event this year.

So I'm new to hatching and I have a question I have a LG 9200 incubator (still air and no auto turner) So would it be a bad thing if I turned the eggs at 7am 7pm and 9pm? That would be three times daily? Any help is appreciated

No biggie on the turning. If you can, put the eggs in cartons wide end up and tip the bator side to side. (same as turning) Sometimes the water wells don't work well for it this way.

I have never heard of them, but they do look like a Chrysanthemum!

getting ready! I keep walking into this room to try to "do something" to and realizing there is still over 4 days till set day. I'm going crazy waiting!! I think I need a table. that would help organize it I think. Or a shelf? Growing up the incubator room was always random and cluttered but I feel like I have seen egg rooms that could have been museum displays haha. How is everyone else's "egg room" set up?

All you folks talking about stuffed cabbage and chicken soup made me hungry! Good thing I have leftover nacho soup - so tasty on a cold day!

In the final days of collecting for hand-off eggs. I might actually be able to fill up my incubator for the HAL with the discards, plenty of off colored eggs collected the last two days. I have one still-air incubator I use as a hatcher - I guess I *could* also incubate in if I wanted to hand turn eggs...I wonder how many I could fit in there...it would be an experiment, right? Of course, I'd need more eggs...

No! My wife LOVES chrysanthemums and when she saw them fell in love. So, I wrote the seller and asked about them and they did a buy in now for me. They sent a bunch of extras but unfortunately only 3 made it to hatch time (most had detached air sacs from shipping) and one was a late quitter. So we have two. I will post more pictures soon.

Of course we're not doing a flapper contest this year because I just got the best shot of my boy...by accident. Oh well, guess I'll save it for one day...
