has anyone given a broody started eggs to hatch?

I have a turey who is broody and I'm thinking of giving her eggs that are in my incubator. Then also how long do I need to let her raise the chicks before taking the chicks in hopes of getting more turkey eggs?
Many times. If they are a 1st time broody, I will keep them in my incubator until the last few days, then slip them under them at night. I let them sit on fake eggs until then. Chickens can't count, so they don't know how long they have been sitting.

I have successfully moved chicken eggs from an incubator to a broody hen on multiple occasions.
Is she a first time broody?
Are the eggs turkey eggs?

Everybody: What are you using to incubate?
Are you happy with it?
I hate my incubator. Im sick of killing eggs in it. I will be buying a new 1 in May.
I am in love with my Brinsea Advanced 20 with humidity pump. It has been rock solid.
Brinsea eco, not so much. I know I killed eggs NYD because I couldn't get the humidity right at lockdown and hatch. They were eggs I really wanted too.

Since the top of the advanced also fits the eco, I am planning to just switch the tops at lockdown since this is a staggered hatch. Hope it works.

My only regret is that I didn't get a 40!

I am using a Little Giant Styrofoam incubator for this hatchalong. My preferred incubator is a broody hen. I don't incubate enough eggs to have anything too costly.
I put small rocks into the bottom of mine to act as a heat stabilizer and it seems to help quite a bit. I also super glued a juice bottle top to the teenie weenie knob that adjust the heat. The larger round area makes smaller adjustments easier.

I have a Brinsea octagon advance 20, and a homemade coolerbator. I love them both! Both keep temperature well (Brinsea -/+ 0.1 degree, Coolerbator -/+ 0.3 degrees) The coolerbator is much easier to keep at humidity during lockdown. The Brinsea needs a little more attention to get good lockdown humidity. I use a lot of sponges under the incubating tray for lockdown in it, and have to make more adjustments because I don't have the humidity pump. The Brinsea distributes heat a bit better - there is a corner cold spot in my coolerbator, so I put my large thermometer/hygrometer setup there and am aware that it will read a little low there. By putting it in the cold spot I can't put eggs there, so everyone stays at the same temperature. It took me several modifications to get the coolerbator to where it needed to be, but I hatch a ton of quail, which are pretty forgiving with respect to temperature fluctuations, so I could work on it until it was really stable and still get hatches. Now it's a beast. So I have both the Cadillac and the Yugo in the world of incubators both work well. I'll probably build another incubator this summer (I want to try my hand at an autoturning cabinet next...), because if I'm not going to break the bank, I would rather save money and build something that I know will behave once I get it tweaked to a point where I'm happy with it.

Money was an issue for me so after reading a lot on here, I went with the Hova-bator 1588. It is working like a dream. I had to many eggs and didn't want to stack them so I borrowed a LG and I HATE it. The temps are all over and I have to baby sit it. I almost got a LG but I'm so glad I didn't. I was going to get the cheaper Hova-bator, however the reviews about the 1588 are glowing compared to the others. If you got the money, sounds like a sportsman is the way to go.
