Since you'll be up all night watching for that egg to pip, I'll pm you some pics a little later. It's early for me, but have to go take care of horses first. And right now, I think I'll put some eggs on the Auction thread cause I'm getting over run!
awesome! thanks!

I suck at incubating. I have never ever had a good hatch rate!

I smelled a bad smell in the bator, candled the five eggs. Three looked bad, I cracked them all slightly at air cell. All three chicks where dead upon further inspection! They still had some yolks to absorb. This is how I find all my chicks, even in all past batches! Why does this happen? Once I had 49 eggs, 8 hatched.

Should I get a new incubator? I have a LG right now...

Now out of 14 original eggs, I have two eggs left and a single chick.

Ohhhh, I am so sorry for your losses. My last two hatches were much like yours, and I think my current lot in lockdown is going the same way. I am near devastation, but I can still watch and worry. There is good help here on BYC. Do you WANT to hatch? Can you save up to buy a Brinsea and just be done with all the variables? I am thinking about that, but one of my father's genes is telling me to not stop trying to re-invent the wheel. (He was a civil engineer). Hope you get help and good luck. Laurie in Berthoud

I'm sorry you have bad luck with your incubator. I use the LG 9200 and I usually have a good hatch. I will end up with over 30 this HAL. Some are still hatching. I did make adjustments. But that is some of the challenge in hatching that I enjoy. I'm always trying something different to try and improve.

if u can give me its ASIN number that will work. Its usually down the page close to product description.

OK, here you go: ASIN: BOOTD17MB2. I searched for "mini humidifiers," portable humidifiers, and small humidifiers. There are lots of these in Personal and Healtcare and this one is just one of many here. I was wrong about the auto shut off: it runs for only 8 hours at a time. I am looking forward to playing with mine.

I am getting really good at speed reading on this thread! :D  Hopefully I haven't missed responding to anyone.
So I finished lock down last night. One incubator has 39 of my mixed breed large fowl. I put my divider in my other incubator but only ended up putting 16 of my mixed breed bantams in there and 11 shipped quail. I put my only remaining shipped Serama egg in there too but I'm pretty sure it quit. All of my other shipped eggs that made it this far are "sorted" under the broodies. I now have 6 serious broodies so I figured I would put them to good use and hopefully get that out of their system early this year.:fl
My day 21 starts about midnight tomorrow night but I have at least 7 pips already this evening. I don't work tomorrow so I'll have to find something to do so I don't stare at the incubators all day.
My divider looks kind of sadly empty. Guess I'll have to set more next time!!!
400

Posted this about an hour ago and I'm up to at least 20 pips already!

Best way to clean a styro 9300 bator or the best way to keep it from getting dirty. I broke down and bought one the other day to see if I could use it as a hatcher for the turkeys. But I need an easy way to keep it clean or it will just be an egg warmer for eggs that are going into the incubator.

once locked down candling is a no-no correct?
No more candling, unless, it's past the due date, a couple of days at least, then if you think the baby may be ok, you can candle to see if it's still alive, and if it has an internal pip.
Just let those babies do their thing..absorb, absorb, and turn the rest of the way.

Thanks! This has been the hardest day so far! I saw two wobble once and now I can't stay away from the glass!! Lol

HA! I finally got the temp back to 99.5!!! And the humidity is about 62%. Now why couldn't I get the dang temp up to that earlier during the whole thing?!!!
