I read an article about the ability of ucooked popcorn to absorb water versus rice. uncooked popcorn was the clear winner--It has the ability to absorb a lot of water compared to rice.
Ron is so awesomely smart. I just keep printing his hints on incubation tricks. Remembering all these little tricks is really pretty incredible!

If the need ever arises, I can always help with judging. Not sure what the rules are to be a judge though. Just thought I could offer

Thank you, but since you entered many of the contests, we can't have you judging them.

Welcome to BYC! I love my Isbars! They are smaller birds, but lay lots of large to extra large green eggs. Very hearty and very pretty!

These eggs are from my second year layers and weigh 60 - 66g

I raise Cream Legbar so I would probably push those lol. They are very pretty birds.

I also LOVE my Spitzhauben, they are fantastic birds, great personalities, good foragers and lay well.
Half the eggs in my bator for this HAL are Silver Spangled Appenzellar Spitzhauben. I'm excited and sooo hope they hatch. Not only will they be my first Spitzhaubens, but my first pure bloods.

my two golden comets each give me a jumbo egg every day and are super friendly.

That being said, I've heard that rhodebars are incredible layers and have great personality. I have 2 right now but they're only 8 weeks old BUT I've never had chicks that will cuddle and snuggle with me like they do (cockerel is the most snuggly!). They're beautiful too!

This was a few weeks ago. I need some new pictures. They grow WAY too fast!
