The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

Why do u think they've quit? Do u see a death ring or a dead embryo?
Sometimes around day 14 I have a hard time seeing them move. If I were u I would continue incubating and see what happens on day 21.
I hope all your babies hatch. Good luck!!
I will keep at them, but at day 18 if still no change at lock down they are coming out.

Must not drive to Phoenix to get a dozen legbar eggs today, must not drive to Phoenix to get legbar eggs, must not.......
From the car you post as you head that way....

No fan

on day 12 now

no pics, tried but they come out terrible

Eggs were less than a week old, unwashed, stored pointy end down in cool not cold basement

My own eggs.

I did see signs of life in all of them at day 6.
Want a fan? Wired one for a project incubator that failed, but the CPU fan blows air just fine.

Actually talked myself out of it (but I did talk to the breeder and they're going to save up some eggs for me for the E-HAL starting in 2 weeks

Checking on my NYD HAL chicks, while doing my requisite walking. Some of them are pretty naked so i ground up some dog food for them. Higher protein might help speed their feathers up. I think 25 was a bit too many under the heat plate, even tho i got the biggest one. Sold all but 10 so not so crowded now.
Looks like a male. Males are generally slower to feather in.

My day 20 eggs are making funny noises. No idea why.
