emu: approx. 53 days to hatch - set Feb 2nd (for you "serious" hatchers)
I hatched some duck eggs this spring, used a spray bottle to spritz them with water once a day but other than that it was like hatching chicken eggs but took 4 weeks instead of 3. The extra week is torture!
Had to share one of my favorite pics from my 1 week old babies..
They were hiding in a pocket while I got the brooder cleaned out, they were about 10 hours old here. Funny little things

Good morning folks!
Busy morning already for me. I have someone on their way to buy an extra peacock.i get them caught and swaddled before someone comes to get them. This is the less stressful and safest way I have found.
We just purchase 7.5 acres of woods that is right next to our property, and there is an old junk rv trailer someone was using as a hunting camp on it. We listed it for free on CL and a person is coming at 12 to try to haul it out.
Also packing up 24 eggs to ship, and have some errands in town to do before picking yp my youngest!
