Cool how did you like the Speckled Sussex apparently they lay a smaller egg like the Altsteirers up to 60 grams. However the Altsteirers are now laying bigger eggs.I've contemplated speckled Sussex again. I had a beautiful girl. Her eggs were pretty small. Do you have them now? Are their eggs a decent size, my girl just laid small eggs. I have a Columbian Plymouth ROCK right now. She's a doll! Her eggs are very small. Thought for sure i would be getting larger eggs by now, she's been laying for over 2 months.Guess it doesnt matter the hen, some just lay smaller eggs. Here is a photo of my cute SS. Still no more Ameraucana eggs. I am going to hold out until tomorrow and just set the one if they refuse to gift me with more.

She was a very sweet girl. I ended up letting my friend take her. She is still alive! Around 6 years old now. Still sweet, and still laying!
Well hopefully some of the 12 hatch. They sure are pretty.
Easter and April Fools Day are on the same day.
