So I have an unintentional EHAL egg setting.View attachment 1294668
Along w/my oven, I have an Easter surprise!
I have several birds that I have giving up on trying to contain them.
They are known as the Free Birds. View attachment 1294669

They come and go as they please. Sleep in trees, roam fancy free. 2 of these particular birds have decided to create me an EASTER BASKETView attachment 1294671 !
They went broody around the 10th. And get this.. IN MY EGG COLLECTION BASKET! View attachment 1294674

I don't know how many eggs they are sitting on but they will not budge. A bomb could go off and they are determined to hold their ground.View attachment 1294667 View attachment 1294660 I needed my basket last evening for my daily collection rounds. I gave it a tug. I gave it a shake. I gave it a plop. Ben even gave it a kiss!View attachment 1294662 So I took them for a stroll around the farm. Hoping they would fly the nest, but no can do..
They are glued.

Hello! I have a homemade incubator, a styro one (we got the plans from here), it has a computer fan and water heater thermometer. I keep 2 canning jars filled with hoo to maintain heat a 75 watt bulb, and a dish of water. Last night before bed the temp was 100 and humidity at 30%, this am the dish was dry as a bone, temp around 95. The humidity today seems to have stayed at 30. It is day 18 and I want to lock down. Help!!!

The egg I sealed with New skin is alive and squirming. That's good.

It's aircell is huge. I think that's not so good. Anything I can do at this point? It's a chicken set March 10.

All eggs were good except the two that were empty on day 7. Threw them out today.
