I have to keep adding water to my farm innovator incubator. Seems to be running extra dry........air cells are ok. I'm thinking the greenish egg I can't see the air cell is probably not fertile. We'll see soon enough...

Welcome!I would like to enter the contest. The rules.said to post on this thread of you want to enter the hatchalomg.
Late in seeing this but I do have a broody sitting and do to hatch on Easter weekend.
She is sitting on five sizzle and.silky eggs.Welcome! How many eggs is your broody sitting on?
Yes, i quit marking fragile on egg boxes and got better results.
I hope the next batch has higher fertility!Candled for day 14. Went from 42 eggs to 8 obviously developing, 3 questionable but not hopeful, 2 quitters, and 29 infertile. My rooster is clearly mating the Leghorn as all her eggs were fertile. I do have 3 dark brown ones developing, so I am still hopeful of an OE. Weight loss is higher than "normal" but still well below 25%.
I'm kind of wondering if I starting gathering eggs too early. I've been watching my rooster and he is mating more often and each time I see him mating a different girl. I think I will do another batch after this one is done. How long a break should I give the incubator? I know I need to clean it but do I need to let it completely cool down?
Good luck Penny! Hope you have a great hatch.Mine 20 are due to hatch either good Friday or Easter morning
waiting for my Marans 8 under my 4 broody Silky hoping the 2 peeps I bought and took there will encourage the marans to hatch should be anytime now
