It must be the Barred Rock half, because their half siblings (pure buff orps) are wimpy little fraidy "chickens" compared!

The Adventures of Barbara will resume as soon as the Food People finish preparations for the Ohio National. And we are not even taking birds! Barbara will probably have some new coop companions soon...after jail, of course.

I did get a great photo of Barbara and Leroy having a "Magic Moment." Not sure I should post it. They look like a double dip (pun alert!) ice cream cone.

Have fun, bring something pretty back! You could post it, when my chickens are have a moment my 7 year old asks why they are giving each other piggy back rides. I just laugh! She also wonders about the horses and goats too. Finally she can up with an answer all on her own when we struggled to come up with a good reason, She said that they were circus animals and they were practicing! Thanks to seeing the circus this summer. We laughed, but never corrected her. Can't wait for more Barbara!
