She’s a seramaI have a hen that has a pattern I’d like to recreate. What breed has a pattern that could achieve this?
Yep I figured, but thanks for confirming. Some people told me she’s a bantam so I’ve only recently thought otherwise when seeing seramas. Do you happen to know of any patterns (or base color) that could bring out the pattern I’m looking for? She’s a serama
"Bantam" just means a small-size chicken.Yep I figured, but thanks for confirming. Some people told me she’s a bantam so I’ve only recently thought otherwise when seeing seramas. Do you happen to know of any patterns (or base color) that could bring out the pattern I’m looking for?
That’s the tricky thing. Her mother and father were both larger than her, as she’s fully grown. Mother was all black and father was an old English. If she came out completely different in pattern and size, then I can only assume she’s picked up on someone’s familial genetics. All I can plan on doing then is to find a physical look that could possibly bring out her pattern. How Dominant is Hard/Tight feathering to Soft, or Loose feathering?
