Very interesting pattern, she does not seem to be just mottled or just cuckoo, it would appear she is both.

I really don't think she has mottling, but I could test that out though, with Bigfoot who's split for mottling.

Forgot a detail. She also has the weird brownish color in her hackles like her daughter, which I didn't get a picture of either.

She has mottling, she is the mother of the Chamaleon hen and she is clearly mottled, perhaps not evenly mottled, but she is.

Both the father and mother of that chameleon have at least one copy of mottling because that chameleon hen is certainly mottled

I don't understand how, the Chameleon hen's father Dino is an F2 from my original Wheaten Crele Orpington project from 2018.

It's one of Those Mysteries that could only happen on your breeding projects... Every now and then you get unknown and outright inexplicable genetic mysteries.

Thanks for sharing, but it's going to be quite difficult to find answers, there are so many hidden genes that affect the phenotype and can cause false positives. Your Coop if filled with them. We can only guesstimate with a high or somewhat high certainty but never be 100% be sure.
