How about a gender bending bird. Thought you had a hen but ended up with a roo. (see above)

I was pretty sure that Vander was a pullet for the longest time. No comb or wattle development, no (obvious) masculinity in his feather pattern, etc. Then, all of the sudden, he had saddle feathers!

Next hunt, how about the opposite? A hen you were sure was a cockerel.
