"I can't help you! I killed my mother! I am no better than Jay!" She snarled. "I'm sorry." She walked off back to Fire.

"Wait!"

"What?" She whirled.

"What?" She whirled.

"I'm sorry for what happened..."

She nuzzled him and pulled away. "I fought him too. It's okay." She walked off and lay down next to Fire, who is glaring at Foxvalley Oliver. "Sorry, Fire." She smiles at her brother. "Is Flint sleeping?" Lightning asked. "Yes, Lightning. I love you, sister." Fire lightly tugged on her forelock playfully. Lightning smiled, remembering when they used to do that when they were foals. "I love you, brother." She drifted off to sleep.

The stallion greeted the day with a pained moan and wobbled to his feet. Relieved to have lasted the night in this unfamiliar territory, he thought he'd take the opportunity of exploring before noon faded to the darkness of night once more. He began a casual trot into the sunlight, it's gentle rays revealing his bizarre coat; pure alabaster with a labyrinth of black stripes from head to toe. His ears were round and large, tipped in a ring of black. His mane, white with bold, black bands, was short and thick, curving around his neck in an upright crescent. This was no horse...

...but a Zebra. He was farther from home than even he realized.

Wind slept on the Great Rock, ashamed to go to his herd because of what happened.

Sorry! I didn't know it would be violating anything. Forget I even mentioned any stallion.

The sun rose and she came to Wind. "Come!" She turned. "Our daughter misses you. And our herd needs you. I'm going with Fire Magic to show him the Cimarron. This is a new start. You have a life with the beating of a young heart! They are waiting for you!" Her words cut deep into his heart. "Its a new day, and a new plan. Its waiting for you."
