~~~The Band of Sagemint~~~ RP
"Fire!" Lightning cried, the tears streaming from her eyes. "Get out, Wind!" Lightning roared. "GET OUT NOW!" She screeched. "Bow to your new herd leader!" Foxvalley Oliver laughed from the Great Rock.
But a new stallion was skirting the hills, his eyes blue, his mane black, his coat a dull grey. He watched the black stallion laugh, and the black mare cry. The moon hung over his shoulders, making his grey coat tint with white. He intensly watched the black mare, crying over the dead body of a chesnut male horse. "It'll be okay." He said to himself, then he ran down the hill and into the SageMint fields.
Wind backed up. What had happened? He didn't do this! "Lightning, I can explain! I didn't do this!"
(He's not kicked out permanently is he?)
(no, she'll let him come back around eventually)
Wind backed up. What had happened? He didn't do this! "Lightning, I can explain! I didn't do this!"
"Get OUT!" She screeched, rearing. "I'll force you to get out if I have to! And Flint stays with me!" She cries.
"As...you wish..." He bowed, and left "But please, tell Flint I love her." He walked over the horizon.
Meanwhile, they grey horse watched. He felt his heart be trapped by chains and locked up. He felt a stab of sympathy for the black mare. He wasn't far away, he could hear her cries of dismay. His heart dropped down to his hooves. This poor, poor black mare was in so much pain. He felt as if the moon had been a knife, then stabbed him in the soul. His forelock blew softly in the wind, and his eyes began to drip with tears. This mare, she had a strange aura about her. Her emotions were so strong, luring him in. He could hear the calm, whisper of death in the air. He could smell sadness, and his eyes, his eyes saw it all unfold.
A chesnut horse appeared by his side. "It's never over." She said, her tone distraught. "I am Providence. I was Lightning's Ma. All will be very much fine."
The grey horse watched the scene, the darkest thing ever known in the Cimarron fields. He suddenly felt horrible, coming at a time like this.
Lightning watched from a distance, a hatred glare in her eyes.
To the grey horses dismay, the black mare snarled at the black stallion at the top. "Get down, Fox! I'm leader of SageMint!" She yells, and Fox trots down and walks past the black mare. The horses begin to perform the ancient burial ritual, and the grey horse had to watch it all, and he had to watch the black mare cry the entire time. He had to watch the black stallion ignore it all, with a small smile on his face. The black mares tears docked at the corner of her eye. He walked over to her, and touched her ear. She whirled around, her eyes showing a lit flame. "I'm Bandit." He said. "Lightning." She replied. "May this become my everlasting home, Ruler Lightning?" Bandit asked. "Y-Yes." She stammered. He touched her shoulder with his nose and called to the skies. "May the gods bless your new warrior, as this horse may be born to everlasting life, bring rain, snow, and sunshine. You watch over us, and it is his time," Bandit called, the female horses began to hum a low C note. "to watch us as well! We all wish him to live among you, and never leave these fields!" Bandit cried, as the rain poured down, making it seem like the whole skies were crying.
"I have gone mad for the loss of my love!" He ran, ran as far as he could.
She appeared next to him "You aren't mad. I'm really here. She's not gone forever, you haven't lost her. She'll come around." Then Providence disappeared.
