~~~The Band of Sagemint~~~ RP
Quote:
Lightning lifted her head and nickered a warning. "Stay back, Flint." Her shoulders rippled and her eyes represented authority. She snorted, her mane softly blowing. The stallion came closer and she met with him. The moon burned a hole in the night and Midnight's normally black face seemed purple. She tensed, and all was still as she spoke in an assertive tone. "Welcome to the Cimarron."
Wind stood next to her, "I am the lead stallion, Chasing Wind. Who are you?"
The rain began to fall, soft drips of water falling from the clouds above. It tore ribbons in the sky and dropped to the Earth. Lightning blended perfectly into the darkness. She tossed her head to the side and the hill only looked higher. The moon still watching, she circled the stallion once, twice. She blinked, her eyes as blue as the river flowing across the land. "Why have you come?" Her voice tears through the black sky and sounding like the satin cry of a bluejay.
"I repeat, who are you?" Wind said firmly, his deep voice sounding like the thunder.
Wind started circling in the opposite direction as Lightning. "Who. Are. You." He said, getting irritated.
"Wind," Lightning flicks her head back. "Please let me ask. I created this band. You may be a higher rank than I am, but you are not the creator." Her voice calm, her words sharp like a needle. "Now, again. Who are you and why are you here?" She stiffens her shoulders in authority and waves her tail once. She walks up to The Great Rock and goes to the top. She awaits the new stallions answer, her mane and tail blowing softly in the chilled night breeze that is running over the Cimarrons fields.
Wind followed her, apologizing. "I'm sorry, dear." He whispered in her ear. He stood next to her again.
The stallion threw his head back, tossing his thick, wayward forelock out of his expressive black eyes. "I thank you kindly, ma'am," he replied, extending a heavily feathered leg to bow slightly, "My name's Hodgepodge, but friends have called me by Hodge, Spots, or 'hey you'. Yourself, m'dear?"
