Lightning smiled. She was seeing the old Wind. "Father, let him know for him I'd risk it all." She whispered, quiet enough so Wind couldn't hear. "Jay, the Cimarron is not your home, nor will it be."

Jay laughed, wheezing slightly "But thats the best part Wind" He whispered "I watched you search for her. I watched your pain, knowing that you'd never find her." He got to his feet and paced in slow circles around Wind "Poor, sweet mother was so heartbroken over his death. She knew it was me, as hard as I tried to hide it, she saw right through the lies that everyone else believed. I knew it wouldn't be long before she told everyone my secret." He paused to let it sink in "The night she planned to tell everyone I caught her in the meadow. She hardly knew what was happening before I killed her too" He paused again "Little did I know, she had already told her best friend. I knew it wouldn't be safe for me to stick around the herd, so I left. Never to return again until the day it rained, I took shelter with some horses until a bush. I can't describe my surprise when you showed up, I wanted to get to know you. Now I know" His voice turned bitterly cold "That you are the same power freak our Father was!"
