The beauty of a Game Camera! Heres My Latest Predator.

He looks big enough and strong enough to simply jump over if he wanted to. Mail the pic to the owner and cc the local Animal Control Officer. Perhaps, that should humanely solve the trespass problem. Remember, it's not the dog, it's the owner that's the problem.

But a dog just looking isn't a "threat", and just being on "private property" isn't justification to shoot the dog

Did i post anywhere that Id shoot the dog Bear Foot? I can do as I please, and do not put words in my mouth. AS I said I have every right to protect my livestock!

Actually, several dogs and cats have met their demise for nothing more than being on my land. We live in the country, and there is no animal control, other than the kind I employ. Sorry if that offends some of you folks with sensitive natures. I will lose no sleep over it though.

I was wondering if anyone else had the same idea as me. I put my camera up just to see who was laying.
Today I found one of my hens dead. Head was eaten and one side of the breast. I have a cyclone fence all around and chicken wire over the bottom up and laying down so no one can dig under fence. CAN a fox climb my fence? I have seen racoons and opssoms on my camera. Will they kill chickens?

I live in La. and my lawman said that if a dog is on your property you can shoot it if it is bothering anything.

Yes fox can climb the fence. Yes coons an opossums will kill chikcens. I have had problems with all three. I now have not only fencing in the ground but I have topped my run with strong 2x4 fencing. Nothing has gotten in since!
