The Boxer Thread (Boxer - A Certain Breed Of Dog)

My mums boxer had that done on both her legs when she was younger. Sadly she passed away the end of Novermber at 11 years old, She had lung cancer, they only found out in October
My mum washed all her toys and put them away on a tote, she had 47 stuffed toys and 22 collars that they found round the house, half of them had never been worn.
Here is the memorial photo taken with the candle we lit the day she died.

It is so hard to lose a pet as they truely are members of the family. The loss of my first boxer Madi, is still very hard for me. She died unexpectedly (to us) 5 years ago when we were on vacation. My only consolation was that when she died my 2 friends were with her. It was a horrible time. When her son Zeke died 2 yrs later, we had time to grieve with him since we knew he was dying. From the time he was diagnosed to his death was exactly 4 mo. Just the right time for Tank's mom to be bred and for him to be born and raised to come live with us. Zeke died 3 days before we had planned to pick up Tank. We needed those 3 days, then we needed to fill that very empty hole that Zeke's death had left in our lives. Tank doesn't look anything like Madi or Zeke.
they were very flashy and Tank has white toes, a little white on his chest and "bird poop" on his nose. He's been a very good "hole filler."

The first boxer that I had, Abby, we had to sell, because 1. We were moving and 2. She had a bladder leakage problem, is still alive and we get to see her every now and then! I am so glad that we get to see her ever so often

Ive only lost cats so far, and one dog a loooong time ago but I was so little. My puppy is wearing the "cone of shame" right now because she just had surgery on her leg. my husband sat on her by accident and broke two of her bones.......needless to say, i was pretty upset, and he felt terrible. but thankfully money can buy some things, like orthopedic surgeons, pins, plates, etc,.. and she will be back to normal soon but recovery is going to take 6 weeks. at least it wasnt worse, if he sat elsewhere beside her leg, he could have killed her. I just hope she lives a very long life with us <3

This is Bertie he is 17 months old and he has started chasing the chickens and will occasionally catch one and just hold it, he does not bite them and they just play dead.

I just got my first boxer... (well 1/2 boxer 1/2 lab, but looks more like a boxer) like 2 months ago after we put down my cockerspaniel!
