Just be patient.

I know (for chickens, anyway) once they reach a certain age (like a few days) they HATE you! Its like their terrified of you! Like your a hawk going to eat them. Will not let you lay a finger on them.

Then 1-2 days later, boom. Snuggly & happy again. :idunno Im not sure if its the same with ducklings, but i imagine so.

When I picked up my chicks they would generally freak out at first but once I started snuggling and petting them they would calm right down.

Not this guy.

Not mine. Just avoided me.

Now emily snuggles with me for hours. I wouldn’t worry much, just give the duckling attention, but give her/him space, to!
 
I have owned many animals, like chinchillas. But one that i for some reason cant stop owning, (Im weirdly addicted) Is slugs. I have bred, owned, and saved slugs. Over 2,000 :oops: I think its a problem? Not sure. I currently have quite a few. 100 or so eggs, and around 30 Slugs. 2 Newborns.
