Also, I'll be editing the "coop project" page so more recent coops are added to the list as they come online. The only issue there is when peeps have articles that are still "under construction" and we may not want to review them yet.

... maybe if the coop article is in the "coops section" and is over a month old... and is still "under construction" we can move it to the Member Pages and tell the user we'll move it to Coops Section once they are done?

I'm reluctant to say coops are "DONE", but after going through the data, we've decided that going from 3 ratings to 5 probably won't make a HUGE difference in the reliability of the ratings / content. We also realized that the other VERY important area of BYC (the Learning Center) had a TON of articles with ZERO reviews and many with no ratings either.

So, while we'd still love to have peeps rate and review coops, we definitely would like to shift the urgency / focus to the Learning Center.

It seems strange that on most of the learning centre articles there is alot of comments yet no reviews or ratings. Is there a way to encourage people to leave a rating after they have read an article?

Keep in mind that our system has supported "comments" for 10 years, but has only supported ratings for the last year or so, and only supported reviews for the last few months.

Um... the system for the 5 years before now did support tags, but we didn't use them much.

One of the pillars of this community is "not to offend" That makes it hard for readers to rate for fear of offending. We've all been reviewing coops with constructive but supportive comments... Maybe a general announcement on "How" to effectively rate an article without offending. That said I'll also state that I'm a coward... All of my 1 star reviews were Anonymous. Most were just single picture of their coop. Probably, in hind sight, should have suggested they be moved to personal pages.

Luckily I have years of experience writing employee reviews so I never made my reviews anonymous. I did try to mention that the rating was for the article and not necessarily the coop.

Totally valid points. Hopefully anyone that gives a review with a low-rating will also be able to give the feedback / criticism in a supportive and helpful way.

Yup, anonymous reviews / ratings are there specifically for that purpose. Also, a lot of peeps on here are good friends, and it might be hard for someone to give "helpful feedback" (even if worked carefully) in a way that they feel comfortable with having their name attached.
