Ok, I now agree there is more than 2 ! LOL!
I stared at him for a minute, then just lied down and closed my eyes. I didnt get up. I didnt think of my master or my friends. I just gave up. So many times I had fought, now all my energy was lost, I was injured, all my friends were gone and my master was probably dead. So I lay there and waited for him to pounce on me, his claws digging into my back, teeth ripping open my neck. But for a moment, all I heard was the soft pad of paws that stopped right at my nose. I felt a soft lick on my ear, and then a warm body lied next to me. I opened my eyes and saw the wolf next to me, staring into my eyes with sympathy. I could tell from her motherly instincts that this was a girl, because if it was a male, I would be torn to shreds right now.
So, with both our bodies heat, we waited out the storm in peace. When I awoke and felt refreshed and renewed, I quietly got up and left. I journeyed back towards where I last saw Cody and Nellie and walked at a good pace. My leg was no longer swelling but I still limped a little. Hunger grabbed all my happy thoughts away, so I stopped to hunt and search for food. I staked out under a bush, and awaited some animal to walk infront of me. Suddenly, something dropped to the ground behind me. I jumped and looked back and there stood the wolf, carrying a dead rabbit. She had dropped it right on the ground in front of me. I realized it was a gift! Wagging my tail, I nudged her lovingly and devoured the rabbit. After I was done, I gave her a lick on the nose, then continued to walk in the same direction my friends went. I could hear her trotting behind me, but I didnt care. With me injured and all, she might protect me if danger comes. BANG! The birds scattered from the trees, squirrels and rabbits bounced into the thickets and the wolf ran away swiftly. I looked around for a place to hide, and decided on a large boulder. I went behind it and lied down, when I started to hear the crunch of leaves and the voices of men.
