Inside my head I groaned
why did the wolves ALWAYS come when a serious, and sometimes painful, situation was about to happen? I looked at Fido, Cody and Goldie with a look that said, And yet, my friends, we must endure another battle. A battle, that must be won! Gracie needs us! Fido remained with Gracie, while Goldie ran out squawking, trying to make the wolves think it was only him hiding in the underbrush. But, unforntunately, 2 wolves went after Goldie, and the rest came trotting towards the bush we hid under
. Closer
and closer
. When suddenly
.. GRAAAA!!! I growled as I pounced on the nearest wolf, biting his neck which quickly killed him. 2 others came at me, pounding into my sides. I escaped from their jaws and grabbed a hunk of fur from ones shoulder. While all this was going on, Goldie ran frantically around trees and bushes, as the wolves still chased him. Cody fought as well, and he fought well. He had fought before, in fighting rings, so I was pretty sure he could handle himself. Me, being a terrier
. Is a totally different thing. I heard a call of help, and as I looked to where it came from, I was pounded to the ground by a massive wolf with one yellow eye and the other green. He had razor sharp fangs that hung out of his mouth, and his claws pierced my skin. I lay motionless, afraid that if I move, his nails will dig deeper
nevermind those teeth sinking into my flesh. I looked to where the cry of help came, and I saw Fido fighting off 5 different wolves, trying to protect Gracie. Gracie, being in the process of birth, was heaving and whining, trying hard to breath easy and not to collapse. Fido fought with all his might, but he could not hold them off. They surrounded him. I tried to move, but a evil growl came into my ears and hurt almost as much as the nails digging into me. I saw Cody being torn to shreds and as I saw him fall to the ground, he let out a yelp of pain. Cody, being a fighting, muscular dog who had probably been through many fights and pains, almost never yelped or barely made a noise. He always tried to be brave and acted that nothing hurt him. So when I heard that yelp, of deep pain and misery, I knew he must be experiencing twice as much pain as I was. The dog that stood on top of me suddenly broke the growls and fighting with a howl that seemed to cut through the air like a knife, and it stopped all the dogs in their tracks. This
is what happens when you trespass on Razorbacks territory. There will be serious consequences
none that will be committed here, but in time, in time. The evil dog said from on top of me
and when he said that, he sunk his razor sharp teeth into my neck, making my pass out from pain.
