Here is Chipper as a young chick

And here he is at 5 months ~ I have renamed him Blackbeard!!

His dad, Mick is a barnevelder (with some welsummer mixed in I think)

And his momma is an EE, either Miranda L or Esmerelda R (not sure)

Well my first 5 blue wheaten Ameraucana X EE eggs all hatched, 100% hatch rate!

There's only four in the picture because the 5th was a late hatcher and needed to fluff up some more..
I hope the pullets will feather out like their momma, I love Mrs. Cluckers' (moms) coloring. These chicks mean the world to me because mrs. cluckers was my first laying hen and she comes running to me when I come outside, and is just a spazzy little ball of energy... Just one of my fav chickens

I'm super psyched if you can tell!

My Splash EE - very interesting how her coloring changed (many more spots) from chick to hen (last pic was taken today at 14 months of age)
