The EE braggers thread!!!

Nice boy, Evelle! I love those big, heavy EEs.
He reminds me of my big guy.

I thought about the leg band idea, but I can tell her apart because she has more of a buff color in her feathers and her legs are a shade darker. When she was younger she had a bit of a greenish shade to her legs, she got the greenish shade from her EE mother. I keep her with the marans because I may not be able to tell the eggs apart from the wheatens when she starts laying. I'm going to be selling chicks soon and it's a HUGE deal to me to keep everyone pure. She's pictured along with a couple OE's and my Marans and a picture of her up against the fence on the wheatens

Wow she looks so much like your Wheaton! I missed a lot or am not reading right! Is she not pure bred? She's Beautiful no matter what! I can see how the egg dilemma would keep you from keeping her with the others especially during breeding/ hatching season!
Oh Duh! Never mind me! She's a Beauty wouldn't mind having a gal like her! You said her father is a blue wheaton ameracauna and mom hatchery EE right!

Right! She's an Ameraucana X Easter Egger mix. What happened was I ordered a bunch of EE's from cackle hatchery, and most of them laid light olive, a few greenish blue, one pinkish then two of them layed a PURE light blue egg. I didn't believe a pure light blue egg existed until I had some in my back yard! I pay very close attention who lays what egg in my yard, I watch em through a window to their coop, ha I have a lot of time on my hands lol... this hens mother was almost solid white with muffs and pea combs, greenish shade of legs and a little bit of grey flecks on her neck and tail. The mother would never let the black copper maran rooster breed her so I put her in with the ameraucana rooster for a couple weeks to get this girl! I'm hoping she'll let the Maran rooster breed her because I bet she would make a good olive egger producer.

I am trying to tell if my little EE babies are boys or girls. By chance does anyone have pics of a EE roo and EE hens comb at about age 2 to 3 months??? If you do I would really appreciate it, if I could see them.

Thanks so much,
MIchelle
