Ooooooh you have the red/blue roo!! He is beautiful!! Too Bad we are so far apart! We could trade!!
Umm, when they get older they start to get more of a comb. It's easier to tell some times. They may take longer to sex, it just depends on the breed and the chick and what they're getting fed.
If your chicks have really big muffs right now then they will probably just have muffs and no beard. Maybe if you could post a picture of him/her I might be able to tell. or you can email me, which ever is best for you.
My EE are on post #741. They are older now and changing all the time so if you need better pics I can take some more. Thanks for the help, I'm very curious about them! I bet my Bubbles will look a lot like Sandy.
buzymom - it sure looks like your chicks are awfully well loved! doubletake - I was just wondering because her coloring is so much like a favorell (sp?)
This is my EE "Ford"! He is 14 wks and so good with his girls, so far not aggressive! He started crowing at 7 weeks while still in the brooder in my garage! He looks like he has Indian Game in him. I posted a while back on the "What breed or Gender" and only recieved one response.... but his legs are sooooo long I just know he has some game in him! What do you guys think?? Anyone have one that has longer legs than normal!??

I had to share because s/he's such a looker!
he/r hatch-mate! my little blue-collered red-neck!!
I have a question about the Easter Eggers, hope someone can help me Since the ee's are mixed, if I got ee's from say a ee hen that laid a pink egg or a light green egg etc. Would the offspring necessarily lay that color of egg? (I know with the olive egger it is a little more controlled because you mix a pure blue layer with a pure brown layer.) But what about the regular EE's?
