The EE braggers thread!!!

Here is Jules when he was little.

He used to always jump in my hand when I would put it in the brooder. No one elses just mine.
here is another on of Jules.

And my beautiful boy today.

I'm guessing he has some Dominique in him, and maybe maran or welsummer somewhere in there. Completely guessing, but he is gorgeous!

Ok Please tell me you know what critters crossed to get that beautiful rooster..........????? I have afriend who has 1 almost like him, and we can not figure out what he is.......... I would like to try to breed for a similar roo, but not sure what to mix I can only guess at the heritage........... please let me know if you know.....Kim
that is a crele pattern rooster. here is my crele penedesenca rooster
so probably what ever it was crossed with was double barred like a crele and the hen may of been something with partridge in it. thats just a guess

but with crele penedesenca you can use partridge to diversify the bloodline just takes a few generations.

He's very nice!

There are some beautiful beards and cheeks to admire. I don't think my new chick has muffs or a beard. Or the feathered feet I was so hoping for. Someone else mentioned wanting to make an EE with feathered feet, beard and muffs...I was thinking that same thing and how cool that would be.

All you need to do is find a rooster with feathered feet and full facial furniture. It should be easy to find an EE rooster but one with feathered feet would be a little harder. I prefer to raise my own rooster from chick stage because I adopted a gorgeous EE cockerel who did not adapt well to the change in flock but others have had just good experiences. Most of my hens have beard or feathered feet or both since I have had some luck with incubating eggs from my flock when I did have a cockerel with them. Some day I want a barred EE rooster.
